What Do I Need To Do To Have a Document Notarised?
Make an Appointment by contacting Notary Swords in Contact Section and we will reply with an appointment.
Complete the Document(s) by filling in all gaps to the best of your ability before you call.
Email the document or documents you want notarised for us to inspect - vincent@shannons.ie
This speeds the process and allows us to ensure that we are able to assist you with your notarisation.
What Do I Need To Bring?
The same anti-terrorism and anti-money laundering formalities as apply on opening a new bank account apply to notarisation. This means that you wound need to provide your current valid ID in a form of the Passport, your bank statement or utility bill and, in some cases, source of funds.
PASSPORT
Your identity must be proven before we can notarise your documents. This means producing your original passport. In some limited compelling cases we can accept lesser proof .
If other identifying detail is given in the document to be notarised (such as Identity Card number or tax number), then whatever document proves that other detail must also be produced.
BANK STATEMENT OR UTILITY BILL
You must prove your current residential address by producing a recent bank statement or utility bill (not a mobile phone bill) with your name and address dated within the previous three months.
SOURCE OF FUNDS
For buying or selling property, managing money or other assets, opening or managing accounts, funding companies, trusts etc. you will need to produce documentation proving the source of funds to the Notary.
What Are The Options For Payments?

Cash
