About Us
A Notary Public is a Public Officer who deals mainly in non-contentious matters usually concerned with international business. A Notary Public is empowered to administer oaths and attest signatures and authenticate documents. A Notary Public also can draft Affidavits for use in foreign countries and can prepare declarations and affirmations. A Notary also draws up Powers of Attorney and other legal documents for use in foreign countries.
Mercantile Law also features in the work of a Notary who can receive and make protests and can issue notarial certificates in respect of documents.
Each person who appears before a Notary to have a document notarised must identify himself or herself with a Passport or Driving Licence. Vincent Shannon and Laura Shannon are happy to attend at the offices of other solicitors to assist with notary acts during a transaction.
