Adoption Services

The amount and complexity of documents involved can be very large.

A full adoption pack may consist of dozens if not hundreds of declarations, statements and certificates from different individuals and professionals and institutions.

Most, if not all, of these documents have to be checked, attested and notarised. Due to the complexity and  level of responsibility and time spent on adoption packs, notary fees can be substantial.

Legalisation of Documents

Some documents may need to be legalised. Legalisation refers to a process of verifying official seals and/or signatures on public documents. This can be done by your notary public who puts his/her seal on your document for it to be produced to the Registrar of the Supreme Court.

The Registrar’s signature is then further verified by the Department of Foreign Affairs after which the document is sent to the Diplomatic or Consular representative in Dublin (or London) of the foreign country in which it is intended the document shall be produced. This process can take some time and involves several stages.

Swords Notary can arrange this for you at an extra charge.
